Day 29: Finding My Pace on a Four-Kilometre Walk

A Calmer Day After a Faster Run
After yesterday’s quicker seven-kilometre run, day 29 called for something a little gentler. I decided a steady walk would be just right. I headed out for four kilometres, with no pressure to chase a pace or turn the outing into a workout.
Four kilometres turned out to be the right amount: enough fresh air and movement to feel satisfying, but calm enough to leave space for recovery. After yesterday’s faster seven kilometres, I’m happy with the choice. Today was a reminder that progress isn’t only about going harder. Sometimes it’s about knowing when to slow down, enjoying the walk, and being ready for the next day.
