Day 23: A Calm Sunday Walk Before Picking Up the Pace

A Gentle Sunday Reset
Day 23 is here, and it is a rest day. Better safe than sorry and make sure to rest my body after that flu shot. Today’s plan was simple: a relaxed 30-minute walk with no pressure to move quickly or turn it into something more demanding.
Rest Is Part of Training
Rest days can sometimes feel less productive than running days, especially when motivation is high. However, recovery is where the body gets a chance to adapt to the work it has already done. A gentle walk can help keep things loose, but it should still feel comfortable and refreshing.
Looking Ahead to Faster Running
Tomorrow is Day 24, and it will be my first day doing slightly faster running. That makes today’s quiet pace feel even more useful. I want to start the next session feeling rested, prepared, and ready to focus on the changes in speed without carrying unnecessary fatigue from the previous days.
Tomorrow brings a new challenge and a little more speed. I am looking forward to seeing how it feels and discovering what my body can do. For tonight, though, I am happy with a peaceful Sunday, a gentle walk, and the knowledge that progress does not always have to be intense.
